Precarious work and mental health

In order to prepare the exploratory opinion requested by the future Spanish presidency of the EU on “Precarious work and mental health”, the EESC is organising a remote public hearing.The aim of the event is to gather input on the from policy makers, civil society organisations and social partners, which will feed into the EESC’s opinion.

European Innovation Ecosystem – Online Info Session
The European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) is organising an informative webinar to learn more about the European Innovation Ecosystems (EIE) Work Programme 2023-2024. The EIE Work Programme aims to create more connected, inclusive and efficient innovation ecosystems that support the scaling of companies and spur innovation to address important challenges. This particular informative session will focus about four Calls in CONNECT.
Revision of the anti-trafficking directive

The EESC is organising a remote public hearing on the revision of the anti-trafficking directive. The input will feed into the its opinion on the issue.The current directive has been implemented in a fractured manner across the EU as employers and users of the services of trafficked people face different legal consequences. Also, perpetrators continue to act with impunity since prosecution and convictions remain. Therefore, a revision of the directive is necessary. By including perspectives from policy makers and civil society, the event will explore strengths and shortcomings of the revision.

Competence and skills development in the green and digital transition

In order to prepare an exploratory opinion requested by the Swedish presidency, the EESC is organising a virtual public hearing on ”Competence and skills development in the green and digital transition” on 17 February 2023. Working life is transforming due to the accelerating digital transformation, automation, and transition to climate neutrality. The event will be looking at the competences and skills that will be needed in view of this transition, contributing to the debate in view of the European Year of Skills.
